by Gjermund Frostad Place: Otobiano, Italy Classes: EMX 250 and WMX Date: June 16-17 The first heat of the EMX 250 didn't quite go as well for Steven Clarke. He had a crash in the first lap that set him back, but he battled through from dead last to take 14th place. With his fire stoked, Steven went out in moto two and grabbed the holeshot. This finish helped him move to within 13 points of third place in the series and closes the gap at the top of the manufacturer’s championship within just one point. The next race in the EMX250 class will be held in Lommel, Belgium the first weekend of August, while the MXGP and MX2 championships resume in Indonesia after one weekend off. You can catch some video action from Lomardia with Steven Clarke on VitalMX here.

Kevin Horgmo on the CreyMert Racing team was again quick in qualifiers with a 5th place. He had a good first heat with a 4th place. In the second heat he had a crash in the start, but he was riding good and came back to a 15th place.
Thumbs up for a nice MX track.
In the Women's World Championship, Shana Van der Vlist scored a 5-6 for 5th overall in Ottobiano. This girl keeps doing better and better and she will be on the box soon.
